Early Career (2022–2023)
Mayson began competitive karting in 2022, quickly proving himself as a front-runner by winning the East of England E Plate.
In 2023, he continued in Bambinos, achieving multiple British Championship podiums and finishing P4 overall. He also competed successfully in SuperOne and The Kart Championships, adding further podium finishes throughout the season.
2024 Season
In 2024, Mayson stepped up to Waterswift Restricted, joining Oliver Rowland Motorsport for the British Kart Championships. Despite moving into a faster and more competitive class, he adapted quickly, finishing 2nd overall at PFI (Round 2) and regularly fighting for podiums throughout the season.
Later in the year, Mayson moved to Fusion Motorsport for the final round, securing a podium finish (P3) and ending the championship 6th overall in his first year at this level.
He also gained valuable international experience, competing in the IAME Euro Series and IAME Winter Cup, frequently running inside the top 10 against Europe’s best young drivers.
2025 Season
In 2025, Mayson moved into the highly competitive Waterswift class (ages 9–12). As one of the youngest drivers on the grid, he made an immediate impact, regularly battling near the front in both the British Championships and IAME Euro Series.
He finished the British Championship with podiums at Kimbolton and Whilton Mill, ending the season 8th overall, while also securing 7th overall in the IAME Euro Series. Competing against drivers up to three years older, Mayson continues to show impressive racecraft, composure, and determination, proving he is a rising talent with a very bright future.
Over the past 20 years Fusion Motorsport has developed into the most successful UK karting team in history; taking multiple British Championships as well as a record number of British GP and British Open titles.
Having also won several IAME Euro titles and 3 IAME World Final titles!
the team has recently expanded into CIKFIA competition, taking the WSK Euro Series Championship in the first season and becoming a globally recognised name within karting.
The team is responsible for launching the careers of many drivers who have gone on to become professionals at the top end of motorsport, including Formula One.
